Established in Nashua, NH, in 2003, North Main Music offers high quality private music lessons for kids and adults. North Main Music teachers are all graduates from renowned music programs such as Berklee College of Music, the New England Conservatory, and Southern New Hampshire University. When first opened by owner and director, MIKE MCADAM, the school provided electric guitar, acoustic guitar and bass lessons. In 2007, McAdam expanded the school through the addition of voice, piano and drum programs. North Main Music students' goals range from pursuing a career in music, to indulging in a love of music as a hobby.

2016
  • Partnered with Great American Downtown and Positive Street Art to bring Street Pianos to Downtown Nashua.
  • Established new bands.
  • NMM students and alums perform at the annual Taste of Downtown event in June.
  • Hosted third annual “North Main Music” night at the NH Fisher Cats, where Fever Pitch sang the National Anthem and several bands performed on the concourse before the game.

2015
  • Relocated to awesome new studio with spacious teaching rooms, a great new performance/rehearsal space, and a professional recording studio.
  • Established new adult band, Polite in Public, and new teen band, Stroke of Genius.
  • Hosted second annual "North Main Music" night at the NH Fisher Cats game, with live performances by teen bands and acapella group, Fever Pitch.
  • To meet overwhelming demand to participate, Bi-annual concerts become 2 day events.
  • NMM creates pre-student concert Performance Workshops for spring and fall concerts, which are a huge hit.
  • Gate City Charter School for the Arts hires NMM to direct their music education program.
  • NMM alums perform at the annual Taste of Downtown Nashua event in June.

2014
  • North Main Music hosts sold out Beginner Guitar lessons at Hollis Upper Elementary School in Hollis, NH.
  • North Main Music establishes its first choral group, Fever Pitch, mentored by vocal and piano instructor, Sibvon Rose.
  • Fever Pitch and North Main Music teen bands perform at NH Fisher Cats game.
  • North Main Music student, Alex Preston, was a top 3 finalist on season 13 of American Idol.

2013
  • Newly revitalized Guitar Army band, mentored by guitar and ukulele instructor Jason Latham, performed at the Nashua Public Library Teen Concert.
  • Established new band, mentored by guitar and ukulele instructor Shea Ellis, plans to start performing live in 2013.
  • Current North Main Music instructor, Aaron Gratzmiller, and alumni band, Figure 8, perform at 19th annual Taste of Downtown Nashua event.
  • Hosted spring student concert at the renowned Tupelo Music Hall, with 2 nearly sold out shows, each with close to 200 people in the audience.
  • McAdam joined Great American Downtown's Winter Holiday Stroll committee.

2012
  • Introduced group programs - such as group guitar lessons and home recording classes.
  • Hosted third series of semi-annual student concerts at Studio 99 in downtown Nashua, with 4 sold out shows, each with close to 75 people in the audience.

2011
  • Relocated Nashua studio to 28 Charron Avenue, where we're able to provide better quality studio space and convenient and free on-site parking.
  • Hosted second series of semi-annual student concerts at Studio 99 in downtown Nashua, with 4 sold out shows, each with close to 75 people in the audience.

2010
  • Opened second music studio at 167 South River Road in Bedford, New Hampshire.
  • Hosted first ever student concert at Studio 99 in downtown Nashua.
  • Added voice instruction to North Main Music's program offerings.

2009 - 2007
  • Added piano and drum instruction to North Main Music's program offerings in 2009.
  • Introduced additional guitar instructor in 2007.
  • Guitar Army performed live at several community events, including the Chilifest in Hudson, NH, Hollis Old Home Days, the Rockin' Ribfest, and Hudson Old Home Days.

2006 - 2005
  • Guitar Army had first live performance during the Winter Holiday Stroll in downtown Nashua.
  • Moved into 120 Main Street studio space in 2005.
  • Formed Guitar Army in 2005. One of the original band members was up and coming country musician RYAN BROOKS KELLY.

2004 - 2003
  • In 2004, McAdam increased his teaching hours to accommodate growing number of students and by the end of the year was teaching about 30 students per week.
  • McAdam founded school for private instruction in guitar and bass in Nashua, New Hampshire, and posted ad in the Broadcaster.
